T-ka today reached her goal of raising $50k on sellaband. After a year of waiting ,this classy lady finally is ready to record her album. I for one am also ready to see her shine. Congrats!!

Trick or treat?
First and foremost I will say that I do enjoy Sellaband’s website. I have found a countless array of talented artists from Austria to Australia. I even have put my money down and bought parts in some of these bands. Parts? You ask? Yes you can actually buy a part in a band of your choice. (Of course these are not body parts you understand)
Here’s how it works in a nutshell.
An artist signs up with sellaband and uploads a few songs for all to listen to. Their main goal is to reach $50k so they can record an album.
Music fans (called believers) can buy a part in their favorite band for $10 a pop. They can buy as many parts as they want in as many bands as they want. Once their band reaches $50k they receive 1 personal cd in the mail, the rights to sell a cd (for each part they buy).This is through the website and not out of your house of course, and 33% of income downloads, cd sales etc. 33% is total for all believers. Say if you owned all 5000 parts then you would receive 33% in sales. The less parts you own the less revenue you will have.
As you can read I wasn’t very productive in English class in school, but I can count (money that is).In all honesty I don’t see how I can make money back much less make money! Although we will see when T-KA reaches her goal and then we will see.
As I said earlier I have bought parts in a few artist’s that I really like. T-KA, Solid Tube, Bonnie, Tiff, Rotten Cheri. I don’t know if I will ever make money off this investment, but I invest in them because I enjoy their music and want to help them strive for success. And who knows maybe one day I can get free front row seats and a back stage pass to party. Hey! isn’t that enough I’ll buy that for $10.
Headlines: Tiffany Gow rocks reliant stadium!! Solid Tube packs Alamodome!! T-KA sells out Texas stadium! Yep I can live with that.
On the other side of the coin I think sellaband is a great site to expose these new artists and help them get their music to the public.
In the coming weeks I will feature some of these artists and maybe even an interview or 2.We will see.

As I start this website on All Hallows Eve ,( Listening to Helloween of course) , I ponder what this site will eventually become. I will try to dedicate this site to first and foremost , music!
